Over the past 25 years Catherine Trebble has owned and run hair, nail and beauty salons, a day spa and a medical cosmetic practice. Catherine is successful today, but along the way she freely admits to having made every mistake imaginable, including losing her first salon.
As Catherine says “My Dad was quick to point out to me, “The best lessons come from our mistakes, and that’s all mistakes are – lessons we can learn from so we can do better next time”.
Today, as well as running FAB, Catherine owns and runs a very busy cosmetic practice in Dundrum, Dublin, Ireland.
Here is what Catherine has to say on the subject “I have to walk the talk every day in my own businesses. I’ve been on the firing line meeting payroll, battling the bankers and tax men, and solving real business problems. I deal with clients and suppliers and all of the usual real life business problems, just like you do.
Over the years I’ve spent an absolute fortune on figuring out what works, and what doesn’t, so you don’t have to. I’ve learnt through extensive (and expensive) trial and error. Hopefully what I can teach you will save you years of costly mistakes.
For the past three years, as well as running and marketing my own businesses, I’ve been teaching other salon and spa owners how to fill their appointment books to capacity, without spending fortunes on advertising and promotions.
As the economic climate has got tougher, more business owners have been asking for advice on filling their appointment books. I realised that on a one-to-one basis I could only help so many people.
I decided to distil much of my business and marketing knowledge into simple to follow systems that could easily be used by others. Through FAB I have thrown open the doors of my businesses and laid bare my secret tried and tested successful systems, going into minute detail of how they work, and often, more importantly, the pitfalls to avoid”.
